The Chitrakoot Project Charity UK aims to bring basic healthcare and education to the children and families of Chitrakoot and its 500 surrounding villages in Uttar Pradesh, India.

With the help of volunteer staff from the UK, the charity trains local staff to treat patients and educate villagers so that they can become self-reliant. Starting with dental and oral healthcare, as this was an area that wasn’t covered by the existing areas of the parent Deendayal Research Institute self-reliance programme.

We are proud that the local experts in Chitrakoot now provide regular dental care with little support.

We are pleased to have formed a partnership with Sewa UK to continue to deliver our work in the future through their Medics for Sewa programme. Please consider making a regular donation to Sewa UK to help us change people’s lives – we need your help!
